UnCut
An undisciplined night of the piano man

Fleur du Cap winner, Godfrey Johnson is Uncut in his latest solo performance. Without missing a beat, without a false note, and without a doubt, Johnson is putting on his most personal show to date, a passionate showcase of music that has inspired him mixed in with his original compositions.
Armed with only a piano, his mischievous fingers, a resonating voice and dry humour, Johnson is lets completely loose for the very first time. Blending humour and heartbreak, his dazzling musical repartee reveals the range and skill that has earned him a devoted following.
Uncut also offers fans an extra half an hour of performance featuring songs chosen by the audience. This wish-list will be selected from Johnson’s incredible repertoire of musical numbers – ranging across the classics from Brel, Coward, Sondheim to innumerable contemporary artists and obscure gems from artists such as Soft Cell, Supertramp, Joe Jackson, and Billy Joel.
The show is directed by Sanjin Muftić as their 3rd collaboration, following the success of Behind Every Man and Flirting with Coward.
The show runs from the 24th of November to the 19th of December and launches Tabula Rasa as the new performance venue of Yawazzi Theatre Productions. Tickets are R70 and R50 for students/pensioners.
